Sadly my temp tags are expiring soon, and I need hard plates. That being said, there are a few options...not personalizing the plate (not my thing).

This Ass:

Plate Choices:

I’m leaning towards the second or third...

I like the standard issue Colorado plate myself. Otherwise, the second plate option for sure.

first one. having an all dark clolored car with NOTHING else on it doesnt lend its slef well to multi-colored plates

Makes me appreciate my barren Texas plate. But it may not be current, I haven't driven in almost 4 years

#1 is a classic, but I like #4's message. #3 seems douchey.

#3 somehow seems to go with the Jeep’s character best. (i.e. skiing, knobbier wheels, snowy winters, etc)

I’d go with #1. Excellent design, and not too in your face. 3 is second best.

Do you read #4 as an anti-abortion message, because I do (no judgement either way)?

Edit: A quick bit of reading shows that this plate was created post-Columbine, and carries on optional donation the Columbine fund (which itself is odd, other specialty plates require a donation), but that the creators clearly intend it as an anti-abortion message, and many others see it that way as well.

Yes and no. It has a Columbine flower, so - as you said - there’s the obvious reference there, and there’s no baby on it. To me the “respect life” idea is all-encompassing: From conception through natural death, realizing that every living thing has one life and one only, including one’s own self, so do what you can to respect that. For car enthusiasts, it could mean something as simple as keeping hoonage to a racetrack to minimize collateral damage, or not “rolling coal" because everyone breathes the same air. Just keeping the larger picture in mind for whatever we do.

I wish we still had these:

IMO, they look better than the 2000+ plates. If Colorado allowed me to, Id find an old one and register it to my truck

Nice comment. I think that plates covers as much or as little as the reader wants it to cover — from the extreme Buddhist end of the spectrum, to environmentalism, to human life (the latter is always a little confusing, since abortion and capital punishment are divisive topics).

I don’t love the purple, though. #2 gets my vote because it’s traditional, yet not nearly as common as the standard #1.

I always thought personalizing a CO plate to say “14ER” or “I LUV 14S” would be cool. It’s a hiking reference with a silly underlying pedophilia vibe.
